1976-1994 Surveyor, North American marine, St. Catharines, On. Underwriter surveyor for more than 70 standings, grounding, major fire damage, structural and mechanical surveys as well as oil spills. Approved various tows on the Great Lakes and overseas. Responsible for conducting condition and evaluation surveys for insurance and banking purposes and on-hire, off-hire surveys. Assisted Owners in completing evaluation of vessels. Acted as Owner???s representation to coordinate various surveys and repairs. Participated in numerous special surveys for Lakers and Ocean going vessels.

1977-1981, cadetship with Cunard Steamship Company, served on reefers, ro-ro's, container vessels, general cargo and a products carrier. 1981 to 1986, Zapata Marine, serving on anchor handlers and involved in a wide variety of offshore projects. 1986-1990 BUE Marine, serving on anchor handlers, mainly in the North Sea and latterly a multi purpose DP DSV. 1990-1997, Smit International / Rockwater, serving on DP DSV's and engaged in a wide variety of offshore construction and repair projects world wide. 1997-2000 Port Captain with Dragon Oil based in Caspian Sea., managing approximately 13 small vessels in support of 2 offshore production fields and an export facility. 2000-2002 Noble Denton (Europe) Ltd. Staff Mariner based in Aberdeen, involved in marine assurance, warranty & general consultancy. 2002 to date, Salvage Association, surveyor.
